SAVING CO2 EMISSIONS
Recycled plastic emits 50% less CO2 than virgin, which means less greenhouse effect!
ENERGY SAVING
Recycling a ton of plastic saves 5.774 kWh of energy. With this energy, you could charge an electric car 80 times!
MISSION
ACCOMPLISHED!
WE REDUCE OUR CO2 EMISSIONS BY 50% BY RECYCLING.
At Shopping Basket we are committed to the environment, and we are aware of our impact on nature. That’s why we want to present you this new initiative that we undertake to benefit the world in which we live and therefore all of us.
ALL OUR BLACK PRODUCTS ARE NOW RECYCLED!

This initiative of using recycled plastic allows us to reduce CO2 emissions by 49% and our impact on the environment.
With this small gesture, we stop emitting tons of CO2 every year.
POST-CONSUMER RECYCLED SHOPPING BASKETS

Plastic has a very long life cycle, so it is perfect to be seen as raw material for new uses after being recycled.
Post-consumer waste is generated once it has finished its use phase in the life cycle. Therefore it is all waste that ends up in the yellow recycling container.
We work with an external company with the capacity to produce more than 20,000 tons of post-consumer recycled polypropylene per year to avoid stock breakage.
OUR POST-CONSUMER RECYCLED SHOPPING BASKETS
Our recycled PP contains at least 95% post-consumer recycled material from plastic containers taken from the streets that have previously been classified and separated.

QUALITY GUARANTEE
The recycling process and associated management systems for plastic waste have been verified by an accredited auditor of EuCertPlast.
WHAT IS EUCERPLAST?
EuCertPlast is a European certification created to recognize those recyclers of post-consumer plastics that meet and work under very demanding quality levels.
BLACK RECYCLED SHOPPING BASKETS
RECYCLED SHOPPING BASKETS
This type of recycling uses industrial waste, the excess material during the production process of manufacturing a product.
Its main goals are:
– Optimize the use of potentially useful materials.
– Reduce waste to the environment.
A part of this plastic comes from the surplus (waste) of plastic used in production. Thanks to their reuse, we prevent them from ending up in landfills and becoming permanent waste.
AESTHETIC RECYCLED PLASTIC BLACK
Recycled plastic has multiple sources and it is impossible to achieve a pure black color. The result is a very similar color with small variations and even small specks due to the mixing of plastics.
OUR BLACK RECYCLED SHOPPING BASKETS
Our black recycled PP is made with 100% recycled material obtained from the reuse of industrial waste and other sources.

Circular Economy
LA ECONOMÍA CIRCULAR BUSCA EXTENDER LA VIDA ÚTIL DE LOS PRODUCTOS.
Currently the use and disposal system is not sustainable. Resources are limited and in the short term we can already see the effects on the environment.
Change is necessary and goes through responsible consumption based on the 3 Rs:
In a circular economy, resources must remain in use for as long as possible to extract their full potential. This prevents waste from ending up in the landfill or the environment.
Less energy consumed
In general, the production of recycled materials consumes less energy than manufacturing virgin materials.
What is the circular economy?
The circular economy is based on taking advantage of resources by minimizing consumption and betting on reuse whenever possible. Another important factor is to try to consume biodegradable products to reduce damage to the environment.
For all those products that are not possible to be biodegradable, their decoupling is encouraged to make the pieces useful and have a second useful life. When none of this is possible, the only option is recycling.

More than 8,000,000 tons of plastic end up in the oceans every year.

Only 12% of the plastic is recycled
AN ETERNITY IN THE SEA
Plastics present in the sea take between 50 and 500 years to decompose.
Degradation is slower due to low exposure to sunlight. Waves break these plastics into smaller pieces that take even longer to degrade.
POLLUTED MARINE FAUNA
Many fish die entangled in the waste and others die after ingestion. In addition, the small pieces that roam the sea are ingested by fishes that often end up in our dishes.
