Shopping Basket has joined the cause again and collaborates with Fundació Formació i Treball for their project Alimentem Somriures.
The project in which Shopping Basket is participating aims to improve the quality of life of minors at risk of social exclusion. Consists of the delivery of fresh food to families in the poorest areas of Barcelona.
The objective is to help these people and raise awareness of an adequate and balanced diet. Also by promoting educational programs such as campaigns, workshops, or lectures. This way, these kids will learn through their families how to prepare a balanced diet using the food donated.
For this cause, Shopping Basket has donated 10 carts with a capacity of 90 liters which will facilitate the delivery task. The distribution will be carried out from March to July 2017, estimating 1080 deliveries and benefiting 60 families.
