According to a survey conducted by <a href=\"https:\/\/www2.deloitte.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Deloitte<\/a> in the US, the following retail trends have been observed in consumers:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The online channel will break the record.<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Increasingly, humans decide to do shopping by means of the internet. Thus, we avoid long lines, crowds, driving, visiting several shops for the same product, and avoiding a potential lack of stock in the store. The online channel will allow the consumer to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Quickly find the desired product<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Compare prices without having to move<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Shop no matter the hour.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>It is expected that half of the consumers use the internet, thus being equal to those who decide to drive to a physical store.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Smartphones will be the main tool for shopping.<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>According to the survey, 8 out of 10 will use their cell phone, where 61% will use it to get store locations, 57% to compare prices, 50% to find information about a product, 51% to read reviews, and the 43% to make a purchase.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Free shipping will prevail.<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Up to 60% of online stores will offer this service, in order to compete against Amazon. Furthermore, consumers highly appreciate the fast delivery.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Better shopping experience in-store.<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>With the aim of attracting customers to their stores and competing against the comfort and promptness offered by the internet, big chains such <a href=\"http:\/\/www.toysrus.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Toys R Us<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.walmart.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Walmart<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.kmart.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Kmart<\/a>,\u00a0and\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/intl.target.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Target<\/a> will be offering better service and in-store demos. Therefore they will be creating an emotional link with their customers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Clothing and gift cards will be top-sellers. Up to 50% of the consumers will go for clothing and 48% for gift cards.
