Until recently, the majority of supermarkets and stores in Russia were using metal baskets and carts. However, the willing to follow the trends in central Europe has taken some of the big supermarket and superstore chains in Russia to use plastic baskets, obtaining a very positive feedback. At present, the offer of plastic baskets and carts in Russia is quite limited; therefore Shopping Basket’s wide and varied range of plastic baskets and carts have shaken the Retail sector in such country. SB’s products were presented last December at RETEXPO trade show, in Moscow, drawing the attention of Forward Design Group, with whom the company would sign a distribution contract.
Forward Design’s general manager, Evgueniy Garamov, has highlighted about SB’s baskets their comfort, lightness, great capacity, advanced tehcnology, elegancy and durability. On the other hand, it has been proved that an adequate basket favors sales, as comfort and capacity encourage customers to stay longer in the store and purchase bigger quantities. These are the reasons why Forward Design has decided to start business with Shopping Basket, who is already presenting their plastic baskets and carts to supermarkets, superstores, convenience stores, toy stores, sports stores, perfumeries and pharmacies all over Russia.
At present Shopping Basket is in more than 50 countries around Europe, America, Asia and Africa, expecting to increase such number soon.
